For people seeking to restore contact with family members after the earthquake in Haiti

Earthquake survivors reconnect
Following the earthquake, thousands of people in Haiti and abroad are without news of their loved ones. The purpose of the "Family Links" website is to restore contact between separated family members.

The ICRC, in cooperation with the Haitian Red Cross and the National Societies of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies around the world, manages this website.

Registrations on the Family Links website for Haiti are blocked. Should you want to report a family member missing and you are residing in Haiti, please contact directly Haitian Red Cross at the following address:

If your residence is in another country, please contact directly your National Red Cross or Red Crescent Society.



Only the ICRC can change the information published on the website. In order to edit or to delete any information that you have recorded on the website, please send us an with your name and the reason for your request.

If your search is not successful, do not hesitate to revisit the website frequently, as everyday, new people are registering themselves.

Since 19.01.2010, ICRC field teams were able to provide the following services to people in Haiti:
- 5,023 telephone calls to family members
- 6,562 "I am alive" registrations on the "Family Links" website
- 29,378 names of missing relatives published
